A serial number is a series of numbers and/or letters assigned by a manufacturer to its products. Most complex products (products that are made up of many components) are issued a serial number. Examples of these kinds of products are your car (called a VIN number), TV, computer, a major appliance, etc.. A manufacturer may produce hundreds of thousands of the same exact product that may look exactly alike, but the only distinct feature is the serial number that is issued to the product to separate it from all the rest. Depending on the system used by manufacturers to assign their products a serial number, they can tell such things as the date of manufacture, the assembly line it was built on, the original color, original options, and more importantly, its number in sequence. In theory no two serial numbers are the same.

While a serial number is a very effective tracking tool in the process of manufacturing, we feel that its additional potential is not being properly utilized when these products leave the factory floor and end up in your home or place of business. National Serial Number Registry Corp. has developed this system of enabling the product owner to use this distinct serial number along with all other identification numbers and register them on our Data Secure Storage & Management System. By simply creating an account, the owner of any kind of valuable property can register these items and include photos in our system, thus declaring that they are the rightful owner of the property. This system can be compared the current systems in place within your State Department of Motor Vehicles for registering your car or truck. Once registered it can be recovered anywhere in the world, and your contact information can be instantly found.

Our service is unique in that it is truly helpful to all parties that use it. With our effective, efficient, interactive service, we are able to provide the following services:

  • Assist the Law Enforcement Community with recovering and returning stolen property.
  • In the event of a Factory Recall we are able to assist product manufacturers in contacting the consumer if the product is potentially unsafe to the user.
  • We have created a type of Lost & Found service to allow the Good Samaritan that finds someone's lost property to be able to contact and return that property to the rightful owner.
  • We are providing a safe, secure system to help individuals and business owners to protect, track, and recover any of their valuable property and investments.
  • We have created a system that will protect the honest, hard working citizen from that small dishonest element in our society that will burglarize the home of an individual or family while they are out working hard to make an honest living.
  • We have created a system to protect the business owner who takes the risk of investing the capital to create a good business, and create jobs for the economy.
  • We are making it harder for these dishonest people to be able to take this stolen property and sell it easily over the internet or to the local pawn shop.
  • The purpose of this service is to provide something good and helpful to all that use it. We have created a safe, trustworthy, central meeting place to exchange important information about our valuable property, and give the property owner the power to control who can or cannot view this information.

Our business plan is a simple one; We have created a simple user friendly system for all to use. We will never sell your name or contact information to advertisers for the purpose of advertisement and solicitation (see our privacy policy). We want you to feel confident that we are a neutral party that seeks only to store your valuable property information for the sole purpose of protecting, tracking, and recovering your valuable possessions.

If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our services to better serve you, please feel free to e-mail all your suggestion to us. We thank you for choosing National Serial Number Registry and we look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Sincerely:

The Staff of National Serial Number Registry
